CITIC Limited Half-Year Report 2020

The real estate business recorded revenue of HK$2,934 million, representing a year-on-year increase of HK$1,042 million, or 55%, mainly due to the settlement of the CITIC Coast New Town project in Shantou. Other businesses recorded revenue of HK$39,234 million, representing a year-on-year decrease of HK$8,735 million, or 18%, which was mainly due to the revenue of Dah Chong Hong and CITIC Press decreasing by 13% and 11% respectively as a result of declining sales volumes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The revenue of CITIC Environment increased by 37% year-on-year by stepping up the pace of its EPC projects after the resumption of work.
