122 CITIC Limited Half-Year Report 2020 For the six months ended 30 June 2020 Notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements 30 Material related parties (continued) (c) Transactions with other state-owned entities in the PRC In addition to these related party transactions disclosed in Note 30 (b), transactions with other state-owned entities include but are not limited to the following: – sales and purchases of goods and provision of services; – purchase, sale and leases of property and other assets; – lending and deposit taking; – taking and placing of inter-bank balances; – derivative transactions; – entrusted lending and other custody services; – insurance and securities agency, and other intermediary services; – sale, purchase, underwriting and redemption of bonds issued by other state-owned entities; and – rendering and receiving of utilities and other services. 31 Structured entities (a) The principal guaranteed wealth management products issued and managed by the Group The principal guaranteed wealth management products issued and managed by CITIC Bank, a subsidiary of the Group, represent products to which CITIC Bank has guaranteed the investor’s principal investment. The investments of the wealth management products and the corresponding source of funding are categorised as financial assets and financial liabilities in accordance with the accounting policies. (b) Structured entities in which the Group holds an interest The Group holds an interest in some structured entities through investments in debt securities issued by these structured entities. Such structured entities include wealth management products, investment management products, trust investment plans, asset-backed financings and investment funds and the Group does not consolidate these structured entities.
